PTE Class Overview
What is PTE?
PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. A new computer-based academic English language exam reliably assesses non-native English speakers' Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking English proficiency for study at institutions where English is the primary language of instruction.
Pearson VUE organizes the PTE Test (Virtual User Environment). The purpose of the exam is to assess the test taker's ability to communicate in English in various situations. During the test, the test taker will hear a wide range of accents, from British and American to non-native speakers found in English-speaking nations' higher education institutions.
